Information on YashaSmall, innovative organisations working in the developing world can do an unbelievable amount of good with small budgets. Through many years of experience and a disciplined approach to cost control, skilled managers and program operators know how to make a dollar go extraordinarily far. Still, even the most efficient organizations are under-funded compared to the needs they are working to address. Having recognized this problem, Yasha launched a grant-making program to fund and track the performance of innovative programs that serve impoverished youth and families in the developing world. Because Yasha is staffed entirely by volunteers and resources are limited, and because we are committed to thoroughly managing every grant we make, the geographic and programmatic reach of our grant-making program is curently limited. Yasha's current funding priorities focus exclusively on programs serving infants, youth, and impoverished communities in Indonesia. To this end, Yasha has partnered with Yayasan Emmanuel, a locally-based and highly innovative organization based in Sentul, on the island of Java. YE has proven to be innovative and efficient at allocating funds. |
